How many sessions will I need?
Each person is unique and has unique needs. Initially, depending on what you personally need, we might agree to meet once a week or once every two weeks, for a few sessions. After that, we can meet monthly or when you feel you need to. If you feel that you want to integrate Shiatsu into your way of life, for keeping your balance and well-being, intervals of a month to 6 weeks are recommended. Alchemical Shiatsu connects to emotional, psychological and spiritual levels of our being, which explains that regular sessions can support transformation and provide a base in times of change. Generally, the number and frequency of your treatments are tailored to your individual needs.
What might happen after the Shiatsu treatment?
Immediately after the session you might feel refreshed – invigorated and yet relaxed. Sometimes you might experience temporary “healing reactions” as toxins and emotions are released, although mostly a sense of increased well-being is perceived. Because of the energetic work and depending on the transformation taking place you initially might also feel tired. In any case, drink plenty of water to help facilitate the change. My advice is also to planify your appointment in a way that you avoid heavy meals before the session and stressful activities afterwards.
